OCCUPYING TRAFALGAR SQUARE FOR COUPLE OF DAYS TO RAISE AWARENESS

On the 20th of June, the Chagossians Community occupied Trafalgar Square for a couple of days to raise awareness about their community to which is on the verge of extinction. The elderly spent several days, aiming to raise public awareness of our ongoing struggle for justice.

The protest was led by those Chagossians who directly suffered deportation from their homeland in the 1960’s and 1970’s. We received a lot of visitors who were shocked and ashamed of their Governments. The clear aim of the world leaders is for all the Natives of the Chagos Island pass on, then claim the island for themselves.
